Prickly Pear Seed Oil is derived from the seeds of the Barbary Fig Cactus. It takes over 1 million seeds and more than 40 hours of manual labor to produce a single liter of this vitamin and mineral rich oil.

We partnered with a female-owned organic farm in Morocco to harvest and press our certified organic prickly pear seed oil. We control our supply chain from end-to-end and are a fair trade company.

 

Prickly Pear has one of the highest natural sources of vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that fights UV damage, protects the skin from free radicals and reduces the formation of blackheads.

Prickly Pear Seed Oil also has one of the highest concentrations of unsaturated fatty acids of any plant oil, 88%! Unsaturated fatty acids are healthy fats that are required for the proper structure and function of every cell in our body. They increase the absorption of vitamins and minerals and help to nourish the skin.

This luxurious and precious oil helps improve just about every skin condition that exists. The root cause of many skin concerns is inflammation and prickly pear seed oil is one of most documented in medical literature as having the most impressive anti-inflammation effects. It also absorbs extremely quickly and leaves no oily residue behind.

BENEFITS

Anti-aging
Prickly Pear contains more betalains than all other plants including Beetroot, Goji berries and Acai. These super antioxidant pigments help to protect skin against aging from various types of damaging radicals which would otherwise encourage wrinkle formation.

Hyperpigmention And Dark Circles
This seed oil contains amino acids which helps stimulate collagen production. Containing vitamin K, prickly pear seed oil helps to brighten hyperpigmentation areas such as dark spots and under-eye dark circles.

Hydration
The fatty acid profile of linoleic and oleic acid replenishes lost lipids within skin which helps moisturize and restore skin’s elasticity. The high linoleic acid content, roughly 62%, ensures that even the most dehydrated skin is hydrated.

Acne
Prickly Pear Seed Oil is extremely effective in the treatment of acne (even tough cystic and hormonal acne cases). It also helps to prevent future breakouts. It is beneficial to use a non-pore clogging oil rich in linoleic acid to help achieve balance in skin. It works on acne because its high linoleic acid content helps prevent sebum from hardening and thus prevents blocked pores which would lead to acne and spots.
